We are thinking about moving in a few years. My husband and I are awfully tired of our situation. It seems like we have both been out of work for two years. We’ve found temporary jobs, though we are consistently getting laid off from them.
We did attend a four-year college and we do have our Bachelor’s degrees. Sadly, there aren’t many jobs, and there are many overqualified people like us. This is something we are becoming sick and tired of dealing with.
We would like to find a state where we will both find a job that we’ll have forever and will not have to stress about losing it. Because of losing our jobs, we’ve not been able to pay back our college loans. They’re all now in deferment. This is why it is vital for us to move to another state where there are more jobs. I do understand that most states are having the same problems, but there are some that aren’t as bad.
We have already started putting our stuff in local NYC mini storage units; we never know whether we are going to find a job or not which is why we are slowly moving our things to this unit. We have spent time applying for jobs in numerous states, so we are keeping our options open.
This has been a terrible time for us because we expected to be in a better fiscal position because we went to college. We would like to have kids, but I do not want to right now because of the lack of money we have. My mom would like us to have kids, so she has slowly been collecting children’s garments. She has placed them in a local storage NYC unit for when we do decide to have children.
